Born in 1965 in Coimbra, Portugal, lives and works in Lisbon. Attended the photography course of Ar.Co school in Lisbon in 1991.

Believes that technique is secondary, but influences not only the final result but also the whole process that leads to it. Has chosen basically techniques that force him, by one hand to reflection, and by the other hand to the unexpected; his work has been basically done in medium and large format, Polaroid and Pinhole.

Participated in several collective exhibitions: "Photography in Portuguese", Almada, Portugal, 2001; "Readings and other Images", Biblioteca Municipal of Beja, Beja, Portugal, 2001; "Alentejo Rural World", several places, 2002-2003; "Ventanas", Centro Cultural Caixa-Terrassa, Barcelona, Spain, 2003, EFTI, Madrid, Spain, 2003; "Covers", BZK group, "Padrão dos Descobrimentos", Lisbon, Portugal, 2003; "Ponto.com", Câmara Municipal de Lagos, Lagos, Portugal, 2003; "Slow Vision", North Norwegian Artist Centre, Svolvaer, Norway, 2004; Fixart, Torres Vedras, Portugal, 2004.

His work was published in the book "foto@pt - Photography in Portuguese" (Gótica, 2001), and in the magazines "Ventana de Luz" (MagnaLux, Madrid, 2003), Super Foto Prática (Lisbon, 2004), "Águas Furtadas" (Oporto, 2007) and AG magazine (United Kingdom, 2007).
