Minimiams is the result of the improbable encounter of Akiko, a Japanese sculpture student and Pierre, a small town Frenchman with a passion for drawing, at the Photography section of les Arts Decoratifs School in Paris, France.
Why the Minimiams? Due to Akiko's love for textures, especially food textures, and Pierre's fascination with toys, childhood and, above all, their joint "gourmandize".
Minimiams is a playful photography, which draws on macro photography, caricatural characters, and over scaled scenes to tell a story, drawing the observer (spectator) into the image.
Minimiams are for all "gourmands" of life. Bon appetit!
