Claude Versiani was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 1954.
Journalist for 30 years. Worked in main periodicals and magazines of Brazil. He was photographic reporter in Belo Horizonte, São Paulo and Brasilia, where he lived of 1987 up to 2002. In the last the 5 years he was photographer freelance in New York. Currently he lives in Barcelona, Spain.
Versiani also co-edits the electronic magazine PicturaPixel about photography and the blog of Pictura. Photographs of Angola were made in 1999 for the daily Correio Braziliense, where he was photography editor.
